SRC 2022 Champion Award

Jim Wieser of Texas Instruments is the Director of University Research and Technology and this year’s winner of the SRC Champion Award.

Jim is a strong advocate of SRC at TI and long-term ETAB member (and a great axe thrower). He has connected TI to many of the programs within SRC and supported all emerging research programs and undergraduate initiatives. He was instrumental in keeping David Yeh as active TI assignee and increasing the collaborative research at TI. He led the creation of significant portions of the Decadal Plan for Semiconductors and continued with outreach to promote the Decadal Plan and follow-up MAPT activities.
