The Association for Computing Machinery Advancing Computing as a Science & Profession (ACM) recently recognized GSRC researcher Margaret Martonosi of Princeton University as one of its 2009 Fellows. This recognition goes to members of the ACM for their outstanding contributions to computing and computer science that have contributed fundamental knowledge to the field and generated a broad range of innovations in industry, commerce, entertainment, and education. Their accomplishments play a crucial role in driving innovations that are necessary to sustain competitiveness in an information-based society.

Dr. Martonosi was recognized for her contributions in power-aware computing. ACM will formally recognize the 2009 Fellows at its annual Awards Banquet June 26, 2010.
