TECHCON 2017 awarded student publishes noteworthy research from STARnet CSPIN
For the first time, CSPIN researchers have demonstrated the existence of unidirectional spin Hall magnetoresistance in a topological insulator-ferromagnet bilayer. This advance adds a previously missing read function that opens the possibility to cross-bar type computing or memory devices. Here, the authors report the large unidirectional spin Hall magnetoresistance in a topological insulator and ferromagnetic metal bilayer system.
