Resumes and Internships

Students are a valuable "product" of the SRC research program. When members are asked to provide compelling reasons for belonging to SRC, invariably students appear at or near the top of the list. Therefore, member companies are anxious to have access to information about the student population working on SRC funded research. Student resumes on the web and the resume distribution service are main avenues for this access. Students also report that this service is valuable in making connections with industry members.

Resumes for SRC students are available on the password-protected website as part of the student directory. Member companies use that directory to find students that meet their interests and then download those students' resumes. It is recommended that students submit resumes when beginning work on SRC projects and keep the information up to date.

Internship Availability

Interns are increasingly important to SRC members as a means of transferring technology from research projects and as a recruiting methodology. Students find internships to be beneficial because they provide industry experience and a level of information and data for their research that might not otherwise be available.

Students may indicate their availability for internship as part of their student profile they provide and update for SRC via the website. If you are on the list, but are no longer looking for an internship, please send an e-mail to resumes@src.org so your name can be removed from the list.
